BUCHAREST - Romania’s business registration landscape showed robust growth in June 2025, with new company formations increasing by 22.8% compared to the same month last year, according to official business registration data.

The country recorded 11,765, up from 9,583. This represents the strongest June performance in recent years and continues an upward trend in entrepreneurial activity.

Individual Entrepreneurs Drive Growth

The most dramatic growth came from individual entrepreneurs (PFA), which surged 76.7% year-over-year to 3,676. This substantial increase suggests growing confidence among individual professionals and small business operators in the Romanian market.
